Congrats to ABA TECHSHOW Grant Award Winner Michelle Hook Dewey

The LIT-SIS Grants & Awards Committee is happy to announce Michelle Hook Dewey as the recipient of the ABA TECHSHOW Grant to attend the upcoming event in Chicago on March 1-4, 2023.

Michelle is currently Legal Technologies Librarian & Associate Professor at Georgia State University College of Law Library. Michelle also works for the Legal Analytics and Innovation Initiative at Georgia State, which recently become part of the law library. In her role, she brings previous work experience in law firms. Of particular note is a class she developed, Legal Process Engineering; as her supervisor, Patrick Parsons, describes: “It will focus on how development processes like strategic planning, project management, and process improvement lead to innovation in law practice. Instead of just discussing innovation, students will have the chance to practice and engage in these processes while developing their own projects.”
